Abstract

Objective: The present study aims to explore the role of strategic mindset in building smart organizations by surveying the opinions of a sample of employees at Sarh Al-Warith Company in Karbala Governorate.


Methodology: The research problem was defined through several questions, the most prominent of which were: Is the smart organization an outcome of a strategic mindset? and What is the extent of the strategic mindset’s contribution to the development of smart organizations? The study also examined the significance of this mindset in the industrial sector and the level of attention it receives. It was hypothesized that the limited development of smart organizations is due to the ineffective presence of a strategic mindset in several of the studied companies. The research population consisted of employees at Sarh Al-Warith Company, with 150 questionnaires distributed. After reviewing and filtering the responses, 120 valid questionnaires were retained out of 135 returned. The study adopted a set of main and sub-hypotheses related to the correlation and causal relationships between the study variables in order to answer the research questions and achieve the stated objectives. To analyze the data, various statistical techniques were employed, including normal distribution analysis, arithmetic mean, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling (SEM), using SPSS v25, SmartPLS, and AMOS v25 software.


Theoretical Findings: The study identified a knowledge gap in understanding the nature of the relationship between the two core variables: the independent variable (strategic mindset) and the dependent variable (smart organizations).


Practical Findings: The results indicated that the strategic mindset variable is significantly correlated with and influences the smart organizations variable.
