The Role of Cleaner Production Strategies in Reducing Operational Costs: An Applied Study at Al-Amarah Technical Institute

Abstract

This research aims to demonstrate the role of cleaner production strategies, particularly the use of solar energy, in reducing operational costs and improving economic and environmental efficiency at the Technical Institute of Al-Amarah. The study relied on data and information obtained from the Technical Institute of Al-Amarah. Data were collected from the relevant departments and units within the institute, including the Engineering Department, the Financial Department, and the Maintenance Unit.

The research concluded that adopting cleaner production strategies, particularly solar energy, contributes significantly to reducing operational costs and decreasing dependence on diesel-powered generators. It also helps reduce emissions and promotes environmental sustainability within educational institutions.

The research recommended expanding the application of renewable energy, promoting a culture of cleaner production, and adopting modern cost management practices to optimize the consumption of resources and energy within the Technical Institute of Al-Amarah
